Keep? Sell? Shutter?
I’m excited to join Chevron, but just have no idea what to expect here.

Probably nothing Noble. If you look at the mergers since Gulf in 1985, most employees go by the waste side. Since Noble was a purchase, your guess is probably correct.
Mr. Noble, there's nothing "exciting" about Chevron period. It's a grey company with grey managers.
There is a large integration planning team that was announced that will likely be determining how the noble assets and people with fold into Chevron. The MEASA and CNAEP regions are likely working this already.
Unless you are a minority or have nothing hanging between your legs start looking now.
Noble was purchased for the asset value. Note the absence of any discussion regarding staffing implications in the media releases. Noble made recent cuts probably to sweeten the deal a little.
I would guess the DJ will stay but no future growth. We will hold onto it as selling prices are garbage. We will more then likely keep it as it’s a good asset but will wait on the oil price. Chevron is all about the Permian. Heck we have some k–ler fields in East Texas that we have shelves for years because all focus was on the perm. Would assume the same faith for the DJ. But that’s a guess of course
No one know jack right now in Chevron. We are in the middle of s 1/3 head cut and they only just put the new VPs at their desks. There will be no real insights as to where we are headed for several more weeks when we first see our new org charts. How does NB fit in to this big reshuffle, I think Chevron leadership is just beginning to discuss...you will have to wait and see like everyone else.
Stay the course and don't take any advice or anyone on this site seriously. You'll be fine.
Sell, your f—ed. And your not getting a job bro. Start looking now. Chevron wanted certain assets, DJ is not one of them. Nor is South Texas. Will sell in due time, don't need DJ people.
