UP only hires people with non accredited degrees and nobody else wants to come.
Word has been out at a lot of schools for a long time that UP is bad news. My school stopped inviting UP to the career fairs after several alumni who worked for UP went back and told the professors and administrators about how UP chews up graduates and spits them out, wrecking their lives like they do their trains.
Word also got out about how UP locks people into staying there by issuing relocation packages and forcing them to pay back if they quit before a certain time. Nobody is coming to UP who has a decent GPA from an accredited school unless they are truly desperate.
Do you really think someone with a college degree and a decent GPA would subject themselves to the abuse endured by the current mid to low level management? I highly doubt it. In fact most educated field managers wash out pretty quickly from what I understand. I’ll bet the OP is just stirring the pot.
