I heard they may extend furloughs as long as they can.. like in the UK I think till end October. That will save them some good money. And then they need to wait I think 3 months before they can legally lay anyone off that was furloughed.. That being said, layoffs can come at any time as well. Am surprised it hasn’t happened already despite this.
I read that if they took US government stimulus (which they did-$60M of it), they may have been restricted from laying off. That restriction is now lifted, so they are likely planning for it presently and certainly will have to have an IRIF before September end to capture these “savings” into the 3Q financial disclosures.
