Anyone have any insight as to what this call is about? Any ideas what will be discussed?

You're going to hear the word opportunity many times,also the word "leadership " 10 times more than opportunity! They like to hear that word over and over again.Also. You're lucky to have a job in these trying times! With the state of retaill. NJ/PA had one 2 weeks ago .The director could hardly answer 1 question from the frontl ine! You will also find out that many stores have an overage of headcount because store hours are reduced. So most employees did not go with the propaganda of going from 40 hours to part-time. So offer the 10 year plus employees 3 week instead of 2 and many will leave
When and what time is the call?
The DM position is a useless position ... Here in my district my DM sends passive aggressive messages and emails, very rude and condescending. He has this [email protected]$d on for being first, I don't get it, there is no trophy or championship at the end of this tunnel , I get it that we need to be competitive but he dials it up a few notches, what's the infactuation of being first? Does he get a bonus?
I come in to work, give 110%, try to make my team and reps the best that they can be, try to give them a stress free , enjoyable work environment and than go home... But this guy can't accept that , says we need to be responding to the RD's messages, or when it's hours before work he expects you in teams answering and commenting .
he preaches 1 to 1 ratio but when he's in store it's come and go as you please BAU cause of the almighty RIS...gimmie a break !!
He preaches touchless but doesn't have a clue , completely out of touch on how this works but yet again we get the passive aggressive comments and you get the question of commitment ...gimmie a break
Im kind of hoping they ask for severance volunteers. I will definitely jump on board and take it. Retail isn't fun anymore and this company is going backwards, it seems. They have some things planned, and I don't like the mystery of it. If they ask for volunteers, im turning the page.
They just closed 88 stores would have done it than.
All Team Call is always bad news, especially if it's in the morning hours.
We just had that happen at my company (not Verizon) where they told all of us at once, we are laid-off.
When is this call? And why would there be massive layoffs? Why wouldn’t they give reps from over staffed stores alternative work options like cs/telesales?
Anyone else hoping that they also thin out the completely and totally useless DMs and RDs? Talk about useless wastes of revenue. My GM and one of my SMs are good people. They teach and help us a lot and we truly appreciate having them. Higher than that are all wastes. Most of them get their positions by kissing so much butt on social media that it is just disgusting. No need for any of them.
