Blaming local management is doing nothing but giving the people at the top an excuse. The fact of the matter is the people who run the company have little to no actual operational experience and the ones that claim to have likely never even rode on a locomotive. Get the execs out on the lead for a week or so and have them kick some cars. Local train masters are ignorant and will always be their culture is one of oppression and stressful living. Their entire job promotion and elevation depends on their being terrible to people and even each other. That is a mindset that extends into other areas of NS at all levels but is worst in T&E.

Ah yes...here it is again...it’s the local management that’s causing all the problems. If you’re too ignorant to see where the real disconnect is within Norfolk Southern then there’s no hope for ya. Everyone is following someone else’s orders, even you.
This is what happens when a company has way more supervision than it really needs,alot of poor decisions,conflicts,ect we all see it.
