Org Charts Without PSGs

Throwing out org charts without psg ranges is chicken sh*t. If your job still exists, you don’t know if you qualify for it. This is an effort of not being transparent to keep people working even if they don’t have a shot. Thoughts?

Re Not posting psgs. Don't over think it. We are not playing 5d chess. They don't ever post a whole org structure with psgs. It's competitive info and it would take one of the many clowns in abu 5 mins to deliberately share it with contractor orgs and other operators. The current org chart doesn't have psgs why would these. If you applied for an area you'll have been slotted against every job you can be in that area. If you were sh– you would have been made redundant in one of the many rounds of redundancy we have had over these few years. These are all regret exits for abu. They're not trying to fiddle anyone lower for a bit of cash. They made the massive cuts with the reduction in numbers of positions. They don't want whoever is left to be resentful that they got tricked into a lower psg, or wiping out years of experience by deliberately down grading jobs.

Nobody is lowering cash spend through reducing PSG of those they place in role. That's not how it works. They've saved all the money they are to save through cutting the number of positions overall. The jobs have been sized and so they are going to change them now. If anything with fewer roles the scopes are bigger and the overall psg level might actually go up.

Don't over complicate it. Sounds like your roles will no longer entail the same responsibilities. Same title doesn't mean same GO-400. Instead of asking for PSG's and sounding inappropriate it might be best to clarrifly with the job owner what the new role requires. You will need to make a judgment call if it will stay as is, rise or even fall PSG's. I don't agree with PSG's not being displayed but you need to think outside the box to survive in any major nowadays. Can complain or make a plan it's all up to you. NO one cares which way you decide to go.

I’m in tps and my job was elevated above my pay scale. Why would I waste a pick going one psg above me when the competition is going to be fierce.

They're trying to mask that there is serious downward pressure on PSGs – jobs that used to be 24 will now be 23, etc.

If your job still exists I highly doubt it will jump up 2 PSG so therefore you can't apply. You previously would have been grossly unsuitable anyway.

Your managers already have org charts with PSG ranges. Just ask

My guess is that some of those PSG’s are still getting worked. (Total remuneration) TR has to review all roles I think. Lots going on in a very short time. Honestly it’s impressive they have a top to bottom org organized, I don’t think we’ve ever had that before.

I agree that everyone wants to know the psg of a perspective role. Is it in your psg range, over? under? Not posting the psg ranges had to be a strategy of some kind. Maybe the department budgets are still being worked and so they reserve the right to tweak the psg range for roles by not publishing them now. Round 3 is still undecided. I think they want to put round 3 in place and then know how much $$ they have left in their budget. Once they do they will then assign the round 4 job psgs. If they have to cut the total spend on salaries, they will lower the psg on the round 4 roles. Just a thought.
