Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

U.S. Bank is crumbling

Is anyone else noticing this? ATMs not working, systems crashing, not enough employees, branches being temporarily closed or "blacked out," and nonstop dysfunction, and it all seems to be getting worse. The employees working in branch are very limited and there's no approvals for hiring requisitions. Getting rid of the assistant managers was a horrible decision, why? The branch managers aren't as involved with the branch as their title may portray. A lot of these managers are pros at delegation, sitting in their office on meetings, and always demanding more. Do more digital, more training, more mandatory calls, more outbound calls, you get the point.
It is such a toxic workplace and we need to be heard.

Just got laid off from ATM support there. They went scorched earth and laid off everyone, almost all of the ATM call center. No support will be available to help the branches with ATM issues. Good luck if u use a us bank atm for anything.

Worked on their network for over 15 years have never see anything like this. Atms are reporting they are up. Meanwhile technicians are on site and atms are down. Reported to management and nothing. Never even responded. Don’t seem to care.

Only difference between US bank and wells fargo is that us bank hasn't been busted yet. From credit cards being opened without client permission, opening of multiple accounts for commission purposes. Sad part is management knows about it but turn the other way until a client complains then they act surprised. Totally pathetic work culture

It is a toxic place that is for sure. And as such it is doomed to fail if it continues like this. Used to be a good bank. Andy is a terrible CEO.

There is no plan for a merger. The bank is still looking at closing 200+ locations by the end of the year. I think you will see things ramp up in September for closures, and you will also see things ramp up with staffing issues due to Covid situations.

US Bank has always been behind other banks when it comes to technology. Staffing is just musical chairs as they just move managers and bankers around for coverage. Especially bankers who once they come to US Bank, they quickly realize the comp or lack thereof it brutal along with the low base. Branch managers pretty much stay behind the teller line for coverage all day.
