Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Just more lies.

We were told if one person in claims has to take assessment then everyone has to take the assessment for it to be fair. Now finding out not every part of claims have to take it. This is deception and lies over and over. This transparent process is transparent to leaders who know what’s going on and that’s where it stops. How no one supposedly knows in each department the estimated impact is a joke. Where is the Attorney that is handling this case.

assessment is based on role and band, for instance if a role has several bands not all in that role may need to take it, only specific bands based on what they are looking for.

I never signed it, what are they going to do. They use fear intimidation and bullying to make us comply to what they want people to do, they use a form of mind control , they been doing this for years, Allstate is a cult , I never drank the blue Kool Aid and trust no one ! 😁

Not true. Individual part of claims unit (for example let’s say subro). If they were going to RIF just 1 person then the entire subro unit would take the assessment. Not the entire claims organization. If you area of claims are taking the assessment then there will definitely be a reduction in staff... how many ... no idea. I believe leaders know but aren’t sharing to not cause even more panic, fear etc when morale already basically at 0.

With regard to arbitration, look into Fairhaven. They are a startup that basically can help overwhelm All-State with arbitration claims. Once enough ppl file they will regret their forced arb decision.

Unfortunately they did NOT say everyone in claims had to take an assessment. Assessments are for people in redundant roles. They stated that several times. After being forced to sign the arbitration form last November we have no recourse. This was all planned out 2nd quarter of last year when they first started talking abour Transformative Growth. The title makes you think it was going to be a good thing. The people who actually get to keep their jobs are going to be worked to the point they will quit. The company stopped seriously caring about the employee on March 2015. That's when they hired from outside to destroy our company. I have been a devoted employee for a long time. This is the worst I have ever seen. There is low morale - there is NO MORALE!!!

My understanding is that the way it was broken out was by role/job title and not just generically “claims.”

Some groups are more productive than others, and it's been determined that they don't have to go through the winnowing process. Guess your group didn't make the cut.

I worked there when they did layoffs around 2008. 25% across the board in claims. They got rid of all the old people and low performers. Anyone else caught up in that 25% got rehired 3 months later. It was clearly a house cleaning method they used to get rid of their loyal senior employees to make way for low wage young people who could work the new computer system.
