I just got my serve be deposit and it is $2,000 short of what I was offered. Anyone else?

Uhhh nope you won’t get it back with the unemployment check. Unemployment is considered income and is TAXED. It will be considered income for this years income. You should figure your tax rate and put aside some for when you file your income tax return.

It went to taxes, but you get it back next year. It actually says that severance is taxable in the email you got with your severance amount.

The amount that was told in the email June 25th stated the amount was estimated gross without any taxes taken out which was around 40%
