I left Harris right after the L3 "merger" and heard it's only gotten worse. Are they still top heavy with worthless Harris executive management? Asking for a friend.

I can say with 100% certainty that L3 is a "good 'ol boys club" in the very truest definition. Women just don't get the same opportunities, their efforts and opinions are not valued. A few of them make to the C-Suite level, but it's just for their quota image.
I actually had a male coworker say to me "hey, did you notice we're out of coffee?" to which I replied "great, go ahead and make some more!"
Arrogance, incompetence, stupidity and laziness are the pillars of work in Grand Rapids.
The "good 'ole boys" are running the show by showing up for a few hours a day and playing Solitaire online, surfing the Internet, attending meetings with free lunches and standing in the halls shooting the breeze.
Nice work if you can get it.
Sadly, these are the people L3 hires as supervisors, managers and directors. They'll stay as long as they can until they get fired and move on to some other company and start the toxic culture all over again.
Operations in Grand Rapids is a complete CLUSTER. Daily meetings to review three or four different spreadsheets with details that all contradict each other. No one department supervisor or manager wants to step up and just tell the truth, which would be that there is no clue as to what can/cannot ship to a customer.
Issues with everything from year long delayed purchase orders, suppliers not being held accountable and purchasing trying to collect from customers who are still waiting for their shipments., customer complaints due to quality issues, etc.
You can better believe that senior management is letting it all roll down hill to the hourly workers.
They walk in the door late and out the door early.
What do you mean HR run organization? HR where I work doesn’t know the basics of business. They are busy manipulating employees; all politics.
I here Operations is an absolute sh*t show. I left a year ago and have been happier ever since. Its not worth your time to work there.
Worked at L3 many years, Harris is a HR run organization. I heard it used to be worse during the prior HR leaders tenure
I am so sorry I left dear old L-3/L3/L3T/whatever. I shall regret it til the end of my days. Or at least until the pension checks start rolling in.
"The name is spelled L3Harris but the L3 is silent." Brutal.
Layoffs? Where did you hear that layoffs is happening? Is salt lake getting bought or something?
I actually heard a manager openly state that "a woman could not survive in the engineering department" and was shocked. I guess this scenario wasn't covered during the online training sessions of what can/cannot be said in the workplace.
Nice message to send, huh?
Labelling L3Harris executive management as "top heavy" and "w-o-r-t-h-l-e-s-s" is being downright charitable and way too kind with words as these guys are just as bloated and built-up as Harris' rate structure. If any of these executives have tested positive for COVID this would lead to mass testing due to so many parasitic noses being embedded deep inside their executive rear-end.
Tell your friend that L3 is probably one of the worst that I've ever worked for as far as the 'ol boys club standard. It's ironic, since they go out of their way to make everyone watch videos with required tests at the end of them to demonstrate that they are a fair work culture. It's a joke.
So very sad, I'm sorry. I was there 13 years, it used to be a decent company to work for. :*(
It's getting worse every day. We're going through layoffs..
