Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Agents being forced out sooner than you may think

With last week's announcement of corporate service center and corporate online new business being rated at lower premiums and additional discounts than agency new business binds, the rumored slashing of agency new business compensation for 2021, and the revival of the 34000 corporate book of business Allstate is trying to squeeze and pressure agents out and will sweep through and "terminate" the contracts of remaining exclusive agents. Also agency services are being absorbed into the customer contact centers. The customer contact center is essentially who agents speak to when contacting ICS. They are rushing to become direct like Geico and Progressive whose direct model has passed Allstate in almost every way. This is like the great agency purge of the early 2000's although it is going to be eventually a total elimination, quicker than most think, and agents are going to lose a lot of money and their investment in this process.

If you had been part of any calls that involved sales you would know they announced that the plan going forward is to expand Allstate footprint of offices. Allstate has been trying a few other things to increase agents like the solo agents, agents that work in a single office as an employee and a few others and so far they have not worked with some failing miserably.
