Any idea What departments in bank card?
Treasury, Funds Management/Deposits, Bankcards.
What departments?
More layoffs this week, started this morning managers notifying employees their position is being eliminated and their last day is August 31st. They are being offered severance packages.
You basic standard severance package of two weeks for each year served, I believe the maximum is 50 weeks but I could stand corrected. If your vested, you'll be able to take you pension otherwise no other offers will be in place.
Any discussion of early retirement packages being offered to teammates?
To an extent, the bar will be much higher rating “performing client facing associates in all perfomace reviews for 2020". The majority of branch closures will be the first and second quarter 2021. Much of the layoffs this year are non-client facing positions where duplicates or processes are streamlined to increase the efficiency ratio bank wide.
Will they be holding true to their promise of “performing client facing associates will retain their position”?
Last week of each month will be major layoffs in all areas.
There will be layoffs throughout the year, all depends on summer vacations, etc. Departments have released the names to HR who's being laid off. Don't wait till the last minute if you think your going to lose your job. Update your resume and start saving cash. The layoffs will be far greater than expected due to Covid and the monetary lose the bank has suffered.
And if it's true, what's going to be hit?
