It costs Oracle nothing to give you an RSU grant when they plan to lay you off in less than a year.

I'm an OCI manager but an outsider that was re-org'd in so am not really welcome or included. I've not seen an official announcement, I've been told about the holiday but have not been included or even asked about my team's involvement. Who knows, maybe I'm the one being axed. Seems unlikely they'd be using this to line up managers though. I'm not sure what the OP had in mind.
