Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Dose leadership have a brain?

Even as more work from home reps return to store. Recently employees have been working a shorter week with on-call days. The major reason being how many people can fit on the sales floor with social distancing an available plexiglass stations. the infinite wisdom of the people who lie to your face everyday and tell you how much they care.. starting very soon stores will be at normal full staffing. Meaning some stores will have anywhere between 8 and 10 reps working at a time. What is The Game plan? Have people tag out between customers. so literally sit in the back wait until someone's done with a customer and then it's your turn. Isn't this counterintuitive to prevent cross-contamination among employees in the store? Putting most of your employees working together and you have one a–hole customer who decides to come in with the virus.. you knock out the whole store. Every move that is made from leadership seems to be thriving on incompetence

Quit crying about your job, and just quit your job. Sales reps never happy always whining. Or are you one of the Union Shills.

I think our uniform proves they don’t have a brain.

I think the big question is why starting in the next few weeks is the company mandating that every employee works 40 hours. that means we're going to have 6 to 8 reps working a single day.. l

@1dpj+16qGiOqs Exactly, show us the front line matters. Stop putting us out there and not backing us up.

Have the 1:1 rep to customer as an official metric and I guarantee there will be no more issues in the store. I’m sure leadership can come up with a way of measuring it in real time. Like have employees enter how many people they are helping on the tablet. Boom!

Im an SM and me and my other SM stick to the 1 to 1 ...my reps safety is our number priority.

We ask everyone walking up if they have an appointment, if they don't than we make them an appointment for a later date .

We do let some walk-ins but 1 to 1 and no families or 2 people

You notice that i did not include our GM?

In the Houston area this is already the case. We have an entire store with 9 people and 1 police officer. All in the store. We have been like this for a couple of weeks. It’s ridiculous.

call the Anonymous employee line? I think its still around, look it up in About You ! They can't come after you .If there a lot of complaints about the the managers not complying something will be done. The DMs and Directors are telling Gms to make decisions on circumstances not safety protocol. Again call the complaint its Anonymous!

We opened 08/01 8 reps 3 managers and its never been 1 to 1 ! Thus no social distancing I've counted over 20 people in our store with 5 work stations. Is that safe ! We are in Nj I know this is GM driven and the stay at home Dm knows about it!. So to the people that are truly 1 to 1 thank your manager for not letting overcrowding happen! He or she is doing the right thing about safety. All because of The Survey!

Our store is currently working 2 teams, team a with 3 reps 1 mgr and team b with 4 reps and 1 mgr and only working 3 days a week. Starting this Monday we will all work together. All the big moves will be October 1st. Reps being moved to customer care or telesales. Is this true about them being outsourced? When will the next round of cuts come?

Heard from a friend in another store , the DM was in store one day last week and they were greeting, the store had 3 reps and 2 managers working, they did not follow 1 to 1 ratio, the DM was letting families and couples in, the DM was letting people without appointments in, at 1 point, my friend looked and there were 12 customers in store for the 4 people helping customers. How and why is this happening? All for the almighty RIS? Come on!! do these DM’s not care about our safety?

I almost called HR for my friend cause they refused to call because they feel like they either will be targeted or their job would be in jeopardy.

I hear ya man, we are working 3 or 4 reps (normally 10) and 2 managers sometimes 1

It needs to stay like this, its manageable, its controlled ....we don't need 12 employees in a store at the same time
