Stores without visual -- how are you doing?

Just curious. I assumed even the smallest stores would at least have a single visual captain to take care of posters and mannequins, but after looking at Insite, I realized that some stores don't have anyone on visual.

Are mannequins being pulled from the floor? Who is doing the sale posters?

"Unless your store is lucky enough to have a Divisional VM as your new OVM..."

I haven't heard of any former DVMs becoming OVMs. Only TIPS.

What’s a divisional VM? Is that different from the TIPS person?

Chicago chic, the world is not ending, the media and certain powers at be want you to believe this and instill fear into you. Fear is the best way to control a populous.
I know a lot of people who have not changed their ways and are just fine. I cannot find but one or two people who know one or two people that have had the virus and lived through it, one had absolutely no symptoms at all.
Think for yourself, research your questions on your own. Do not let the spoon fed stuff the media sends out get to you. It is a proven fact the media lies, and they are doing so in these times.
People are doing well all over believe me or not. Reach out to other parts of the country and you will find this yourself.
Now the actions of a few groups do not indicate the feelings of most of the country. People naturally yearn for law and order, a normal resemblance of a peaceful life. People normally want to work and support themselves. There are certain powers at work that are fanning the flames of discontent and hatred for the only reason to give the illusion of discontent. Unfortunately there are those that take advantage of situations and hurt others.
Dig this - those claim to be anti-fascists, meaning they are against a fascist power, are now using fascist techniques to claim that position and hijack those that have peaceful protests and meaningful messages to get out.
Hang in there there are better times ahead.

You can call me chicken little...keep your head in the sand...I was furloughed for four months ...I was called back July 4th weekend....now they said my position is eliminated. Ok I'll take what you have available... I'm taking a different position that's less money....I tell my manager that I will rock that counter...Because that's my style...inside I'm terrified.. when I see people looting and burning our beautiful stores I'm sick and sad. So if you say everything is ok...that does make it ok.

If by visual you mean pulling off the floor all major hits on the site lines, removing mannequins and tables... then yes, I’m still doing visual. I haven’t actually done a real visual since being called back. I was indirectly told that sure, visual is important but not my “main focus” right now. That if need be I can direct an associate to change out a mannequins/forms. Because what, they don’t have enough themselves to deal with being 1 person responsible for 4 huge areas.

Unless your store is lucky enough to have a Divisional VM as your new OVM, of course you're pulling mannequins!!!

Dare I say it is starting to feel somewhat normal again? Besides the whole Covid business LOL
Getting back to basics on coaching and merchandising and doing whatever is needed and working as one team feels so much better from an engagement standpoint and also its great when you have trusting relationships with your peers, and an amazing store manager helps too!
Having a good time and the days go by fast. I was negative for awhile and also felt miserable, had to change my mindset to start to feel better. And I am beginning to.
Blessed to have a job, blessed to have the co workers I have.
I am a CSX of speciality
Not drinking the kool aid, just doing what I have to do to stay happy and positive and make the best of a bad situation over all.

Everyone is doing their jobs...even though the titles are gone. Theses are the real hero's ...working for crumbs. Pretending everything will be ok...going in to work ...wearing masks pretending that we are doing well ...people are buying new things. Why?? We won't need them...it's the end. The whole world is collapsing. Can't see friends... can't be happy.. go shopping...the last indulgence...waiting for the next horrible thing to happen.. I still go to work because it feels normal...pretend everything will be ok.....god save us.
