Market uncertainty, inefficiency, layoffs, time cards, backstabbing, cronyism, exploitative salary and OT practices and poor management aren’t even on the typical Oracle employee’s radar. The reason is that when you work at Oracle you have high job satisfaction and personal fulfillment because you serve under LE within the tech industry’s finest org. We. Are. Oracle!

I was getting laid off last few days and knowing Oracle for around 15 years , they move all of their resources outside of US, such as Romania. there are bigger one coming
Why do people continue to work at oracle? Insurance. It's one of the best plans out there bar none.
I can tell you that all MY raises came from OT and Shift differential and holiday work. F— O
Oracle does a great job of insulating employees against new technologies. If you work at Oracle, you don't know:
- any new SaaS tools
- any new corporate tools in general
- which means no productivity tools
Heaven forbid you are in an IT function, you have no marketable skills.
'cept for one. I left based on my ability to help a Fortune 10 company migrate off of Oracle products.
Now, in parallel with that effort, I'm learning new, useful things.
Ok, lets cut through the b—s—. Oracle IT and IMHO internal has been a clusterf–k for many a year. Beehive is a f—ing joke, the internal MyDesktop license and big brother cobbled together situation has been a 'build it but deal with it s—ing' situation has s—ed balls for years. Oracle does NOT want to get into the 21st century by all appearances. Going to Exchange may start this, we as stockholders can only hope...

For whatever reason some folks just can’t seem to grok the goodness of oracle.
