DMs need to be in store witnessing the safety protocols being ignored. And some GMs need to be made an example of. SAFETY > SALES.

@3bbd Unfortunately, you are correct! The propaganda coming from store managers is at its zenith and yes a lot of my Frontline coworkers believe it especially the younger part time new hires. The store quota is 180 new its mid month and the store is at 35% to quota? We were closed for 5 months? So were did these numbers come from? This is why the disregard for non measurable safety protocol s they actually believe they are going to overachiever? The surveys are hanging over your head so any unreasonable customer request ihas eliminated any overcrowding safety policies. However, I see whats going on and I'm actually starting to push back a little but like I say I'm not going to be one of their policeman either !
The morale is at an all time low so when you look at the big picture it is a disgrace how Verizon is operating their retail locations also there is not enough employees that know and frequent this website to make a real difference.

@3lcp+16qr2QPd Talking about the 1 to 1 ratio is like beating a dead horse. Unless it is made a metric managers will never follow that rule. I have voiced my concern to the store manager, DM and even HR . They all brushed it off. I suppose until the company is sued they will not enforce these covid rules.
Team selling in a covid atmosphere is basically impossible. For those that say stores are back to BAU i challenge that. Our store is only about 30% merchandized, we have plexi partitions at the work stations , customers have to wait outside and be triaged so what exactly is BAU about that ? How can anyone hit ARD numbers when 70% of the cases are not displayed anymore ?

I watched yesterday as the 1 to 1 ratio sign was taken down and the new sign was put up on the door! The new sign basically says that the store will(can) limit people to the amount of reps working ?So we have 5 workstations and 6 reps and 2 managers so you would think 16 max in the store. Well, you know what happened? Yes they were letting families 3 to 4 at a time and the partition is made for 1 person interaction. Another; issue is that the Manager( greeter) is not telling the families not to wander around and not too touch the demo phones(no 6 foot social distancing) thus they are wandering and touching. Ive decided not to be a Verizon police person if the managers don't tell them the rules. I'm not going to be the messenger and get a negative survey. The issue of Dms staying at home . Is what changed? Pre pandemic they only came around 3 to 4 times a month , anyway! I'm sorry to say this won't stop till an employee gets the virus and becomes sick and then it will be too late! At this point I would rather go to a closed indoor restaurant than my location at this time, its would much more safe! Come on Verizon gets these people on 1 page and stop this ambiguous rule set were some managers are taking advantage because of the quota numbers! This month we are on guarantee so can you imagines what will happen next month! And yes some of us feel unsafe with this cavalier attitude at my location! Lastly, team selling not at my location its like pre pandemic? Not one instance of it. The hanging out in the back break room is greater than ever before.

Most safety protocols put in place are expecting a 6ft distance between employees and customers, and anyone that works in retail knows that 6ft with customers is hard to accomplish. 1:1 is gone, and safety protocols break down at a store level because of new focus on customer experience and the new commission structure. Touchless? Yeah right. The digital tools are GREAT, but only when a customer is willing to use them. Must be nice to be a DM or higher, allowed to stay away from the stores while everyone else is expected to be in the stores 5 days a week. I guess their lives are more valuable than GMs and below. The evolution of the retail stores has been littered with bad ideas, but this is the most shameful thing I’ve endured with the company. Yeah, they took care of us for the first part of the year, that is not a reason to accept policies with potentially deadly consequences now.

Call the anonymous hotline now or have your family join the class action law suit when you can't. Your choice.

Our zone DM walked into the store this week wearing cutoffs and open toe sandals with no socks, he went into the back and said to the GM,' I love working from home i hate wearing socks" after the two stopped with the chuckles. The GM said "I just ordered lunch do you want to order with me '? More hearty chuckles! Most of the reps noticed this because how ridiculous this person looked Most reps on that day grabbed their lunch and went back out on the sales floor from 3 to 430, because we were very busy! (We close at 5)These 2 (leaders) chuckleheads
Ordered lunch at 1200pm ! Our storr is BAU and th Gm has set the rules of letting families in at not 1 rep to customer ratio, thus the store can get very crowded and unsafe (while wearing heavy denim in a blazing sun in 90 degrees heat! These are sad examples on how these people act in front of the people they are supposed to leading(the word they keep saying everyday)Yes I will start document the overcrowding and call the anonymous employee line and hopefully stop these unsafr practices and disregarding the Verizon sign on the door for the 1 to 1 ratio.

@1ouq+16qr2QPd Helping couples “safe is safe”. Which one of the couple sits behind the plastic partition and which one gets the sit less than three feet away? Often with a nose out or the mask “accidentally” falling? Or the customer that just keeps ignoring the rules and removed the mask to make a phone call or facial recognition. Safe is safe until it’s not. Remember all of this safety stuff first started when an employee died while working.

You have to call the anonymous employee holiness! You can find the number in About You!Hopefully, enough employees will complain and they will investigate the locations where this happening! This is serious and causes unnecessary stress to the frontine employees and maybe a something will happen to the GM!

Relax. 1:1 is going away to a Max # of customers in the store. Still not allowing customer free access but couples may come in and work with a rep. Safe is safe people relax. Same safety rules and touchless protocols. Stop being so militant Buttercup.

@llb+16qr2QPd I’d say just ask HR or the hotline. You gotta hold people accountable

You need to reach out to the director. It’s usually the DM pushing managers to be “yes men” to customers. Breaking safety protocol should NEVER be accepted. If an up and coming SM/GM wants to help them (no mask, no social distancing stuff) then that’s on them.
