The Ford wall is looking not so solid. Don't lose sight of your options

Not to mention there is no national infrastructure for EV. All these companies are putting the cart before the horse. The auto industry is expecting our tax dollars to pay for such an infrastructure. And when? Decades after one is needed?
And each company is independently developing their own systems to talk to each other. I haven't read anything about how a Ford will talk to a FCA and vice versa, etc.
Why do you care about company profits? Just ride the train the best your know how
Did you not listen to Bill at this mornings huddle?! Mobility for the win!
The last two posts are spot on.
The consumers are not willing participants in this experiment
They have not bought into continual software and firmware updates for automobiles to function (cost, inconvenience, reliability)
They have not bought into the inherent limitations. They are accustomed to the go anywhere and reliability of the combustion engine.
They have not bought into the insane prices
They no longer need a commuting vehicle as they are all working from home. Most families who were considering a EV vehicle were considering it for a daily commuter, not primary vehicle.
@5qit+16r5KehP You hit the nail on the head. "Mobility" is losing a billion dollars a year, no path to revenue anytime soon. Unsustainable, people sitting around dreaming about the future but not making any contribution to profitability.
@4gkl+16r5KehP why does everyone default to AV and Mobility? I don't see that turning a profit for at least another 20 years. All it takes is about two years, maybe one bad year and a company is toast. You are safe nowhere at Ford. EV, AV, GDIA, etc. Once the money runs out, that's it. Product in the form of new vehicles is what sells. Look at Bronco, if the upper echelon hasn't figured out that's the only way to fix the company, shame on them. Any other mobility spun idea is pure trash. Still not sold on EV; time will tell. I think most Ford consumers will not pay Tesla prices or be willing to adapt their vehicle usage to account for short commings.
Go to AV / MOBILITY. That's the future.
um ok Miss Cleo, have any other vague useless advice or doom and gloom predictions. Will the next one be eat healthy or you will die sometime in future.
I can add to that wisdom..... you gotta square the circle, you gotta hit the nail on the head, there are more airplanes in the water than submarines in the sky, when you close your eyes you cant see, it takes one to know one, lets right the ship, and keep on the straight and narrow.
That sounds like some heavy duty Dr Phil advice.
The sky is falling!
