Front End Pay Raise

I am a Merchandiser Team Lead 3pm-11:30pm and I feel so bad for my merchandisers. My merchandisers stock, zone, help stock freezer/cooler, help push carts because we can never keep cart pushers at my work. Put all go backs away. Answer all the calls for help, Help the cashiers run. Help do club pickup, have to put up freight at night. Pretty much help any area that is struggling that day. Yet my team is stuck at $11. Cashiers have the easiest job. I have to help COS when the actual COS takes there lunches and breaks. All the cashiers do is stand in one spot all day ringing product up. It will probably be another year when Merchandisers will get a raise. But they definitly deserve it more than front end.

I am a merchandiser at a Sam's club. As I see it we are all a team. Walmart is worth 57 billion dollars!!! They're only giving pay raises to certain departments. That is not fair. Everyone does their part to make our customers happy and give them service that they deserve , products they want.. Merchandisers, stocker's are the backbone of the store by keeping the shelves full. Walmart & Sam's club can't really keep people employed because they don't take care of us. The CEOs need to take care of their employees and pay them very well and everyone will prosper.

It may be that the company is rolling wage increases in phases. The front end has always been high turnover. I did hear that some of the folks that are in their current front end roles, may not continue to be in those roles because with a pay increase comes a higher expectation of their duties. So if you are not stellar and meet expectations you may be looking at having to find another position.

Once again the maintenance staff gets the shaft. Every time they hand out raises it's to everybody but maintenance. Been with the company 8 yrs and I've started to look elsewhere.

I agree merchandisers should get same raise. They should stop putting other and making animosity among employees. Everyone does deserve 15 and some more. Speaking for my store merchandisers work hard especially early and later in say but in middle ours disappear but they still deserve that raise. As for cashiers and carts they deserve it to. I am happy for them all even though after 6 yrs I been in click and pull who got a raise to 15 and once again I will be making same as everyone else. But that is ok happy for everyone and sad for merchandisers cause they deserve same raise.

It’s just a power move to get more people on the front end to deal with the a*hole members. A lot of clubs are understaffed. Mine included. We have less than half of the cashiers we should on payroll. But enticing new people to apply isn’t worth fcking your existing staff over
