7V vs. 7T Jobs

I'm an 8V employee now. What's the difference between 7T and 7V positions other than its FLSA classification? 7Ts are non-exempt roles and 7V salaried positions. Should I go for 7T roles to qualify for OT? is there a significant pay difference between 7T and 7V positions?

Must depend on the role. Current 7T here, OT is an option but for financial reasons above is requesting it to be limited unlike years passed when it was as open as a barn door.

@xgu+16tCxNne both are NOT salaried positions. I’ve been both.

7v is paid to the minute. Overtime eligible.

7t is salaried, not overtime eligible. 7t has a higher bonus.

@kuv+16tCxNne this is incorrect. Band 7T is the non-exempt overtime eligible position. Both are salaried positions. I can't recall if the STI target is the same for both. 7T might be lower.

7T is salary with no direct reports. You won’t get OT as 7T. Compensation is different from job to job. So almost impossible to say what compensation will look like as not every 7T job pays the same
