Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

The great shrink into greatness

Oracle is shutting down many unprofitable cost centers and money losing divisions while it milks its support revenue from its large customer base. It is a time to redefine Oracle as a smaller more nimble company.

Hahahaha. Obviously the OP is being facetious. Nicely done.

ORCL is "shrinking into greatness" just like National Cash Register, Xerox, and IBM did in prior eras. We all know how this ends.

It might have had a diminished future as an acquisition target, if only LE hadn't become one of the most hated people in SV if not the entire world, and treated their customers as victims to be assaulted and exploited.

Nimble! Snork!
Needed a new laptop once (after 7 years). The requisition process wanted 72 signatures as I recall, but got by with 14, only 2 of which were in my department.
Oracle is as nimble as a sloth.

Oracle? Nimble? Hard to envision when the current company turns more slowly than battleships.

I wouldn't mind if Oracle turned into IBM. IBM's stock is giving 5.62% yield.

Oracle is turning into India Business Machines errrrr I mean IBM: dying a slow death.

IBM and Oracle and heck, even Cisco should merge to give themselves another 10 years of life.
