FYI I already ordered the shirts and they are a LOT thinner. So much better. They are more of a t shirt material. But who knows how long they will last.
Btw if you haven’t seen, were getting new options 09/01. Vests are back and denim is a ration between cotton and (spandex? If my memory serves me correctly)
I’m a SM and still have to wear the denim shirts. There’s times I am outside trying to help customers because we want to adhere to the 1:1 ratio and I’m literally sweating in places I shouldn’t be while working. I’ve even have been offered to sit in an AC vehicle while assisting customers, but declined. I would love the opportunity to wear even the advertised T-Shirts they sell (black/black or the white with the raindow)

Our store managers are hypocrites about the wearing of the heavy denim. I work in North Jersey and our DM has allowed SMs to wear the black t shirts because in July the temperatures were in the 90s every day and he thought they were outside for the shifts in the blazing sun! That never happened they were in the a/c in the store most of the time. So now in mid to late August the temps have been backing down to 80s and upper 70s! Still warm for wearing denim! But we have 1 Sm still coming in everyday wearing a t shirt just because he can. So now he only begins the day at the door at 10am by 11am he's not outside for the rest of the day and makes reps be in the front greeting see the hypocrisy. And he is not very nice on how he tells the reps to be in front. This is the same zone and store were the Dm walked into the store wearing cutoffs, t shirt, open toe sandals, and no socks. The morale in our store is very low because what we witness from these people everyday]!
The contract thing is another canned response by leadership. You can still be in contract and change the style of shirt. Keep that morale boosted ! They really don’t care about us.

The purpose of the employees wearing denim is to make the store an unattractive place to go. That way Verizon will have a reason to close the stores once the customers are all scared off. Either that or someone has a really bad taste in style. Seriously though...all the other options and we went with this..
Denim is here till at least spring. There isn’t any fall allotment for uniforms so we will have the denim look for at least another 8 months at best.
I would assume t shirts will come back because they have to be heck of a lot cheaper then what we have now?
