Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Allstate You Win

I am waiving the white flag. You have broken me. The stress and pain is not worth it. I held on as long as I could. Even if I am retained I cannot remain with this morally broken cesspool of a company. I am no longer willing to hold on for the severance. I am near divorce because of this, I am always sick with headache and vomiting. I am done. Allstate got what they want. I would rather live under a bridge than to stay here one more day. Tomorrow it ends. Tomorrow I resign. Allstate got what they want. I don't care the results of my assessment. I surrender my severance. I need to release myself from this sick pain.

I wouldn’t let them win, don’t give up yoir severance! Please go talk to a counselor to get through and do the minima until they tell you and wait for that severance, it’s the least they can give you for your hard work!
I don’t work for Allstate but my significant other does and he’s besides himself with what this company has come too!

How many people will it take who are severely suffering from mental and/or physical stress to constitute a hostile work environment!!!! Posts of s–c-dal thoughts, posts of constant physical and emotional affects are now the norm instead of the exception, how is this legal?

As soon as I find a job, I’m out. I’m sick and negative every day. It’s not good for my health or kids and husband. I pray I find something in another week.

This is for all those folks that feel they can't go on. Consult with a doctor and get a medical leave of absence. If you can't take the stress and are feeling at the end of your rope because of the way the company has treated you psychologically it may be time to go on a medical leave. The company can abuse you emotionally and financially, but you have recourse.

I knowing the feeling but you should try to stick it out, unless you have another job lined up, you’re giving them exactly what they want, I’ve been miserable the last 2 months (all the time, not just at work) due to this but the least I’m going to get is a few more months of income and severance. Then I am telling everyone I know how awful this company is and cancelling my own policies, in the meantime doing the minimum to get by

I’m so sorry to hear this. I can assure you that you are not the only person who feels exactly what you feel. I am glad that we are working from home. Can’t imagine what the morale is across the company
