So I don’t think geo dept is hated, but geo life has gone down the toilet since the last reorg. The culture has turned toxic. Not gonna name names, but someone order some emotional intelligence training for these managers STAT....if you know what I mean. Any geos agree?

Every department will hate each other if departments have conflicting goals with one another.

The group that is remote at LCO, trying to do the same job being done on the rig already. Just because you have 3 people doing the same job doesn't it make it 3 times as efficient. Its just poor management and leadership.

Those who twist science and engineering to cover up their lies, and spend too much and withhold company IP to seem important and protect their jobs. Guess who they are?

I officed on the 10th floor in LCO where Fusion meet, think early on it was thought as a fast trackers paradise way to the top, like in the old days when T. D. had Executive Assistants. If you did that for a year you were golden with a clear path to the top. But in May 2019 several of TD Executive assist were sent packing. My several discussions with the Fusion folks they seemed to be all over the place with no clear goals or direction, the work was almost secret black box skunkworks and it never reached the rank and file workers at Pioneer. Looking back I think Fusion was a symptom of the growing pains that Pioneer was going through. All the departments and computer programs were silos and they were not integrated with each other or speaking to one another. At Pioneer at that time, HAVING INFORMATION WAS ALWAYS POWER", it may have changed since. Pioneer was at fork in the road of becoming a large oil company and they needed the work flow integration to utilize the massive amounts of data that was coming at them. I am not sure that it ever happened

@3sks Oracle and Quorum are disasters. We still have contractors from both companies on the payroll because they don't work correctly.

If this was two years ago I would say hands down the Fusion team, because of the $100 million dollars they wasted on a nonfunctional ERP system. What a disappointing disaster!

The Fuzz Department can be pretty brutal, I still hang with two of that Dept's x's that have been gone for years. At one time they wanted to purchase a lie detector to hook the employees up to, the truth will set you free. Have been in that room several times, door closed THE MAN turns on his tape recorder, and starts pulling off your finger nails, ouch this is going to leave a mark. My last trip to the room lasted three hours, I kept my job, but afterwards felt like quitting. The old Fuzz Master has retired, heard Vlad Putin put him on the payroll

Chesapeake had severance packages in their first two rounds as well. Pioneer didn't invent the severance. It is done more for legal mitigation than for the love of employees. The problem is shortsighted management. Caught up with Chesapeake sooner, but let's see where the call to become a 1 basin shale only player lands us long term. Wont smell much rosier than chk.

PNR alum you need to realize there is truth in the words people speak!

This thread is disrespectful for the most part. I’m a PNR alum and still concerned about colleagues. Calling out one another will never help.

Stop whining you spoiled, pathetic crybabies. Sure, PXD is not perfect, no company is, but along with EOG, it is the best shale company out there and it treats its employees incredibly well. If you do get the boot, stop for a second and thank your lucky stars you are getting an unbelievable 1.5x your salary. Why dont you ask the people at CHK or SLB how much they got. PXD is at least making sure you don't go hungry. I am ex-PXD, and having that on my resume commands respect among peers.
