So it seems that the Macy’s is forcing you to sign this package so you can’t sue them for any reason under the sun it’s to prevent older people for suing for age discrimination, Workmen’s Comp. race discrimination, and if you don’t sign it you lose it. Just the last c-appy thing this dinosaur company will do to you to stress you out one last time.

They're at work, but you still have rights!!! That's where people make a big mistake and walk away giving freedom to these corporations to abuse people. Silence is not an option, don't give away your rights.
In Ohio they are consideted an "At will employer", which means you can leave for any reason or they can let you go for any reason. Why waste what little bit of severance you would get on legal fees?
Especially knowing you can't win.

As posted before, some have seen unemployment attorneys. An option if you’re unsure. Most have been advised to take severance unless you have unlimited funds. Take the severance. If you’ve been laid off, it will not effect your unemployment benefits.
