Typically most execs write these posts off as the “angry bottom feeders” feelings. This is being written by a GM in a store that does well, makes great money, and has high morale. Today, our team was completely deflated. It’s not the hours, it’s Sunday. It’s the fact that stores around our city our closed and we stay open. It’s about the fact that it’s not safe for BAU for DMs, ops, smb specialist etc, but it’s safe for BAU as a retailer. I’ve always tried to see Verizon’s point. There is no point in Sunday’s other than having a presence because everyone else does. Super poor move unless it’s about to be BAU for DMs ops and support staff. Tell me more about how much you care in your Tshirts at your new home office, while we spread staffing even more during an already insanely stressful time to work with the public. I would have swore VZW would give the front line Sundays as a thanks for all we do. Jokes on us!

I'm in B2B but have a cousin in Retail, he got to stay home for a couple months PAID. He played Warzone and chilled all day. And youre complaining about going back to work on Sundays? Dude..
I'm not excited about Sundays coming back either but some of y'all need to just stop y'all wineing. Y'all acting like Verizon has to keep paying us. If y'all don't feel safe stay home or go work somewhere else. You think they gonna pay us like this forever if we aint selling. Some of y'all on that good good lol
GM is a bottom feeder (wake up)
I’m not so mad the hours are going back to full hours, but most of us don’t have the staff to properly cover 7 days, with reps being cut, some going to telesales, some going pt, some leaving Verizon all together. Yet we will be stretched thin causing longer que times and we all know what suffers with long waits....
Its time to go back to work the 6 month joyride is over. If you can't handle go find a new job.

How does that work when stores have 3 plexiglass stations and 5-6 employees working if you’re one to one ratio?
As long as we have plexiglass work stations and wear masks all day long NOTHInG will be BAU. Sunday is the least profitable day for a retail store to be open especially in a blue law state.
Yep. They took all the praise from the forbes article on their initial response to the pandemic. Going back BAU is for sure to soon hiven the fact we are still in a pandemic. They should have taken into account certain regions and areas are being hit harder than others.
