Why didn’t Senior Leadership manage expenses?

For years employees have heard that Allstate operated at a high expense structure but appropriate actions could have been taking. Proper spans of control, no bonus level individuals that didn’t have direct reports, performance manage those not doing the job and consider off shore from the onset of a new initiative. Proactive measures vs. reactive. Isn’t this approach you demand of your employees? Performance manage should be at all levels of the organization. To be successful these are basics. Concerned that all with be faced with the same scenarios three years from now when the merger of the new company begins to be integrated.

This isnt per diem. We didn't get to keep what we didn't spend and there was an allotted amount per meal so you weren't discriminated against. You can find this in the expense policy. You also earn some nice travel perks very fast that the others don't. You don't have to expense each meal either which is a pain. You can make money on per diem.

Try working on the front line. We work 10 days on the road 4 days off. When we travel our per diem is $44/day. Explain why when ‘sales’ or corporate employees travel they get $65? Discriminate much?

Nah keep paying the guy on top triple compared to any other ins company so they can keep cutting employees compensation because they don’t matter only the ceo does why can’t you all figure that out employees mean nothing see what they think of you they string you along hoping you will quit on your own look how pathetic you all are they think so much of you there willing to risk there reputation on giving jobs to non skilled people and pay them in goats and chickens think about it ....... wake up

Way too many levels of sales managers and process specialist staff telling you to spend more of your own money buying leads and paying 0% for calls after hours when they steal the business.

The problem is the sales department, there are times when finance, marketing or product wanted a few hundred extra dollars for something and were told NO! Then you have sales which would fly in all the FSL's, TSL's, APS's for a 2 day meeting putting everyone up in a hotel that is really nice, taking them to nice dinners spending tens of thousands of dollars when it could have all been done on a conference call.
