Please stop buying the c-ap the company is spewing about how great Optum is or how safe you are from being cut. Or better yet - stop saying those who were RIFed deserved it because they had no value. Unless you accept what kind of company and management you work for, you might end up with the rug pulled out from under your feet when you are the one who’s affected.

Corporate Stockholm Syndrome. Very common in the us empire
The layoffs are based on money!!!!! Everything is based on money or popularity if it is only part of the team leaving. They say it is the higher paid employees and low performers who go but I have seen layoffs based off of popularity with the manager. Consider your lay-off a gift. This is the shadiest place I have ever worked.
Not all people let go from RIF deserved it. I was let go and I was a high performing manager and had a high performing team, but my problem i was not a yes person. I stood up for what was right and best for both empolyee and company. The managers that stayed were yes people and didnt care about their staff.
