Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

Wasted talent...

In all my years, I can't remember ever seeing such wasted talent being held back by 25-50% of any & every given day being in redundant meetings, being micro managed to the point, 25% of the day is spent on tracking your tasks and if your lucky you get the other 25% of your day to do the actual job you love & were hired for.

Hopefully if you get stay, this reorg gets everyone back to the basics of doing the job & they realize spending $100 to make sure you don't cheat them out of $5 makes zero sense.

In the old days Pioneer didn't use to be death by paperwork, it had a flattened management structure and decisions were made rapidly and executed promptly. But, in the early 2000s Pioneer started stacking on scores of VP, EVP and Directors, most were non functional just monetary title promotions from pulling negative atmospheres on the higher ups; all created their own fiefdoms and work stoppages. The other show stopper was trying to become the darling of Wall Street and being on TV with Kramer. The sins of the past have how come home to roost, and they are demanding their pound of flesh.
