If you don't think it's going to get absolutely crazy with the acquisition of National General in Q1 then you've lost your mind. Like I told my people, you have to listen to every.single.thing.they.say. They have been very calculated and mentioned the that last group is not affected "at this time". Buckle up, it's not going to get any easier over the next year.

I would not have protested had they chosen me, but they didn't. Several others in ATSV that wanted to stay got notice. Very random. Trust level is zero

I agree. It blows my mind where they think they can cut when work is so plentiful.. for all departments.

I’m in underwriting too and they told us we are safe...”for now”. They need us for fourth quarter. We had layoffs before most of the company in May. I truly hope they don’t cut more of us. They let go 10% already.

I am in underwriting... at this point it’s a waiting game. No assessment has been taken by me, not sure if that’s good or bad... and they told us we may not hear anything until late October. Waiting is the hardest part :(

I agree there will be more, they go to 4 regions, centralization in the segments within the region and they will look at the staffing once everything settles down and start the process again. An centralization doesn't mean you are in the same office or even area with remote working. I think we will continue to migrate to remote work and buildings will be closing next. I also think we will continue to more workgroups with a get next handling within the entire region. Sad times

A salaried worker in India with a college degree that works for ALL is $11k/year.

I would expect that with more automation and AI, the moving to the "4 zone" model, focus on outsourcing, and the speeding up of the move to direct and away from agencies that those that were assessed and currently "safe" will be eliminated within the next year or two especially in the claims, underwriting, and agency services/support areas. This current notion of "safe" is only delaying the inevitable.

That being said agency services, underwriting and education all just completed or are in the process of completing their assessments so the lay offs continue...

Yep, not sure if more this year, but the start of 2021. They basically confirmed in monday's meeting they're moving towards 4 new "hubs", so next is probably complete office closures of any MCOs outside of those hubs

Whatever gets them more profit- it’s all about greed.

100 percent believe there will be another round. It’s rumored layoffs will continue through 2022. The goonies aren’t going to stop until the company is in the ground and their pockets are even fatter than they are now. Why pay good American working people when the work can be outsourced to India for half the cost. People do not matter to the big blue, only dollars do.
