Thread regarding Cummins Inc. layoffs

So much hate here

Would any of you who seem to hate Cummins so much like to trade with one of the millions of people who have lost their jobs since March? And who have no way of finding replacements any time soon since the virus is still destroying the economy? No? Then show some respect for the place that's still providing you with your livelihood.

I got laid off in january and I am still searching. My severance ended in april and I have been on unemployment since. My savings are all but exhausted. I can cover the rent one more month.

Pardon my bitterness.

Thanks to Cummins, I lost my job at DBU in February. Now, I found a better job with a competitor. We’re booming, gaining business and adding staff, while we take more and more customers away from the Cummins shop & field. My former coworkers still at Cummins are now doing more work for less pay. They should be thankful? I feel bad for them when the branch shuts down in a couple years due to more loss of market share. Think Cummins cares about their current employees in DBU? Look at cumminsflex tech.com. Taking a cue from Uber. Watch for the service dept to be cut more and more as it becomes the norm.

Many great employees have been ushered out the door in the past several months and customers have noticed! Sad thing is, senior leadership thinks that Cummins is still a great company to work for...Virtually ever DBU employee feels there is zero job security here given the lies that have been told and the number of good people that have been let go.

I would rather be unemployed, living in homeless shelter than living and working in the state of Indiana.

Norman Thomas Linebarger never came to our site not once in the 10 years I worked for Cummins in Indiana. His headquarters were down the street. 3 years ago, C Vijayakumar visited our site. Most of you never heard of him. He’s the CEO from HCL America; siphoning our American jobs to his Indian offshore outsoaring company from Linebarger. Norman never visited our site in 10 years, no contact with his people driving business; yet, a non-citizen of a foreign company stepped into our building talking to employees he was replacing with offshore sub-talent in his company. By the way, Norman approved that visit.

Cummins has contributed and continues to contribute to those millions you speak of.... virus or no virus, business as usual. Why don’t you get back to your koolaid until it is your turn to be part of those millions... maybe not this rif, maybe not the next....

We can explain it to you; we can’t understand it for you. People taking their time posting on this thread are all sharing their experiences from not only themselves, but also of their friends and colleagues formed and developed over the years. Their voice must be heard; like the customer. Any “Cummins Family” member posting on this thread should speak volumes. Disgruntled employees = disgruntled customers. No surprise Cummins is collapsing externally; the internal decay is driving that result.
