I worked for years with brilliant people across several BU Pillars. All were hard working and dedicated. Then around 2015 the wheels started coming off the cart. Key important goto personnel blotted and I couldn’t get a straight answer why.
Finally an opportunity appeared and I jumped too.
I learned a lot at Oracle, but spent too long there.
It takes years to get to that point, but yes Oracle definitely does s—. It's the worst place I have ever worked. Oracle was the last 10 years in my 30+ years of working. So, I definitely have lots to compare it to. I stayed much too long, didn't understand what was going on around me until the end. So many people lying, up and down the management chain. It will go down in flames eventually. LE is good at manipulating the stock price and lying about products. If it weren't for that Oracle would have dissolved a few years ago. Glad I finally figured some things out and left.
For those that are still there, you should get your resumes together and get out as soon as you can. You are just wasting your time there. There are much better places to work.
Your incredibly articulate post has made me realize that my years at Oracle were a waste - and I thought I was well compensated for a pretty easy job in engineering. My nice retirement is undeserved. Oh, what a fool I was! ;-)
LOL, yes. What’s shocking to me is how long it has taken some people to figure that out. Better late than never I guess.
