Thread regarding Indiana University of Pennsylvania layoffs

Are you expecting notice this week?

More than ever, IUP staff reductions seem likely to me. Any thoughts?

What about administration. With the president being the second highest paid commonwealth employee, and many of the administration making well into the y figure salaries, you would think they could do with less in that area. Isn’t IUP about education and NOT administration! Sad day in deed for wha5 was once the flagship of the state universities.

"Indiana University of Pennsylvania will eliminate five Fine Arts programs effective next fall, president Michael Driscoll said Wednesday in further detailing a campus restructuring tied to sharp enrollment losses."

"The Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties is bracing for what officials have said could be as many as 350 faculty layoffs within the system, of which about 120 could be at IUP. Notices are to be sent by Friday."
