Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Advice for People Impacted by Layoffs

I was let go in June with only a one week warning at Charles Schwab after I was lied to and lead to believe I'd have a position until September. I had a newborn son to feed plus to make matters worst I had a
close family member die from cancer and another from COVID-19. After all this horrible news I landed a position two days after my one week warning and it was thanks to a company I worked for in the past. During the time I was waiting for my new position to start I delivered food for Postmates, packages for Amazon Flex and sold my arts and crafts through my side business. Long story short keep in touch with old co-workers, try to leave a company on good terms, DON'T EVER have only one source of income and don't be too prideful to take a side gig to feed your family. Best of luck, stay strong
