Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

The future of Oracle OD & BDC?

What are your thoughts? I can say that on the apps side of things it's gotten far more strict and cutthroat for metrics and KPIs with more PIPs as well.

Where do you see the Class Of program going?

@1kiv+17DcXckU: good question.

Oracle has uncaring leaders. Just look at the #1 and #2 people at the top of the hierarchy. Both trump supporters.

Oracle has a culture of fear and uncertainty from a decade of acquisitions and never ending layoffs.

Oracle cares nothing for the voice of the employee - it’s shut up and work harder.

Oracle cares even less for their customers. Just look at the c-ap they sell at outrageous prices, with so-called “support” that has one of the worst reputations in the industry.

Management issues. Every single last one.

Speaking only for OCS, they just graduated a new Class Of, last week. Beth’s expansion model, and her job, depends on new analysts lowering the cost to deliver. They frequently sign deals at or below margin, or even give deferred payment options to clients. So then the 10 yr olds at the hub are running the show. Quality of delivery goes down accordingly. We no longer need to be good. Just ‘good enough’.

Why do we attack employees, when the structures are created by Oracle. It is not the workers fault.

As you write, remember what goes around, comes around.

Fire them all, and get rid of those losers in the hardware org while you’re at it too.

Let’s sweep out OD for good. They are like a boat anchor connected to the ankle of the sales org.

It’s already dead. “Class of” orgs now gone, along with any “protections” they may have offered. Anybody remaining has been thrown into the shark tank with the rest and told to sink or swim.

A harsh welcome to the real world. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?
