Thread regarding Norfolk Southern Corp. layoffs

O.R

We are the only Class 1 Railroad above 60 % operating ratio.
For 3 straight quarters can we make it 4 ?
Dont blame the labor forces we don't run this company .
Management has failed on every level.
So I guess more head count must be cut.

I’m curious if anyone knows what the true OR comes out to if you remove the impairment charge?

Nothing that more layoffs won't fix.

This company may have the most VP’s, directors and b—s— management positions ever. When are they going to realize they cut everything there is to cut at the bottom end and start with the real money? The ones that get stock options bonuses etc? VP of PSR what a joke they should all be let go as soon as that OR was larger than it was last year before they dismantled the place. 63 percent before Ferrell’s smoke and mirror show.

The operating ratio is not thr end all be all. Heaven forbid we try growing revenues by taking business from csx and trucks

They can't even make 60% with cooking the books 99 million dollar non cash impairment charge. It's a joke but yes lets cut more jobs. Here is an idea cut everyone's pay by 50% that has a title of vice president or higher and get rid of their stock bonuses. Sell the company jet and apartment. I am sure that would do wonders for our o.r
