I just don’t see how they can afford the 6 month package offered in the Oct round, going forward. Wondering if they’ll give reduced packages for teams that weren’t hit as hard last round (maybe less technical roles- sales, marketing, customer support etc), or something like that ..
Although everything is still a speculation only, I am also interested in how much the packages could be reduced???
Three months is still very generous, especially since unemployment benefits are generally higher at the moment as well. It’s not like giving 6 months the last round made a positive impact on investors’ views or Cisco’s image (if anything, the fact they won’t make a public statement about the layoffs has created only negative PR and press articles). Have no clue why they would offer the higher package when the whole point is to save costs.
Why would google buy us? They can offer our engineers better jobs and just buy anything they need. Why take on all this other c-ap?
Probably go down to the previous 4 month term.
Google is not interested.
It will be 3 months like before till company size reduced to 30k like Lucent, Nortel. then google cloud will acquire cisco
