How do you get a job lined up, but tell your future employer to wait for you "just in case". There's too many people that are looking for work, for them to wait and see if you get laid off or not. Not a bridge I would like to burn. If the stress is too much now, then for sure find something and leave. Its peace of mind knowing you'll at least have a job.
