Thread regarding Disney layoffs

HR & Executives- Here's a Suggestion

Suggestion:

For those cast members that have been laid off, please consider providing us an annual pass for 2021. Naturally, it would have blackout dates and other restrictions, but that would be a nice gesture.
God know we will NOT be able to afford annual passes next year. Plus, please realize that there are so few jobs in the Orlando area (and I guess LA, too), so we will remain unemployed or just work part-time hours at low-paying jobs for some time in the future. Remember, we love Disney and who hate to not be able to even go to the parks.

People are worried about putting food on the table and having a roof over their heads. Giving out an AP is the equivalent of Disney saying "let them eat cake." A trip to a park means more dollars for the company.

This isn’t even a remote option

It would be nice, but I doubt an executive would be willing to stick their neck out to champion this cause when they are all about cutting expenses in these austere times. They are in survival mode and this would cost them, at the very least, precious labor hours and time away from other projects.

We didn't even get our 2nd set of comp tickets this year, so I doubt anyone high up would even suggest giving out an AP. If you were laid off, you've been "promoted to Guest" and will have to buy your own, unfortunately.

Pff good luck – nice, but no way it'll happen. They aren't even sending people their service awards/pins.

Yes! That should have been a natural parting compensation “gift” for cast members. Win for all... the laid off a little bit a joy during these uncertain, depressing, jobless times.
