Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Mo Katibeh town hall

They just said there will be big changes to the Management Compensation Plan in February. Mo seemed to be shocked that it was dropped on the call.

Not that I expect anyone to have anything other than speculation..but just something else to think about...

@1voy+17LXtyg2 lol, good luck, all those great quarterly growth we have seen remember them, they won't be back for a long time. here are some of the brilliant ideas from our new president (Trump is fighting but he will loose)
1) eliminate fracking (hey PA, enjoy your unemployment, it will hurt)
2) higher taxes on > "400,000" anyone believe that?), this maybe delayed until 2023 since the GOP controls the senate and my not go along with a tax increase, I said may, we will see, the GOP is weak spined so ...)
3) re-imposing regulations, taxes are not the only thing that raises costs.Wo do you think pays for higher costs on companies? Employees, customers and shareholders in that order.

expect Treasury secy to be Elizabeth Warren, for those in the FS industry, the DOL rule will go back into implementation unless SCOTUS throws it out, it got to the appellate level and Trump declined to appeal to SCOTUS.
Keep in mind Biden says he will shut down the country to slow the progression of Covid 19. When that happened earlier this year, 40 million jobs were lost. Even if 20 million is lost next year, that will hurt.

what I expect is slower economic growth, slower employment growth, China to get more aggressive and continue to steal our technology and bully us. Biden will cave, he is a coward and he is compromised by stuff his id–t d–g addled son did.

God help us, I pray I am wrong which is VERY likely as I am lousy at predictions. I am basing my predictions on the Obama years weak growth and Democrats love of high taxes and regulations.

Was under Mo years ago. I can't help but notice how he now rocks these hipster glasses now and is so active on LinkedIN telling people what he's reading and what not (pssst...hey Mo, no one cares...).

Mo was put in his position thanks to people who thought he would be good since he is considered a minority. However, the guy is absolutely clueless and just another overpaid executive. Meanwhile the hard working people at T keep seeing their benefits shrink. Once the economy starts to come back, most people at T can find work that pays better with competent management who doesn't make awful acquisitions and then puts the worst leaders imaginable in charge.

This is the kind of stuff that happens when you have a weak job market. The best we all can hope for is an economic boom where companies have to compete with salary and perks to acquire and retain workers.

Mo must've had a panic attack moment and thought he was still a level 4.

Management compensation plan doesn't cover executives, geez, I wonder why?? So much for transparency.
