Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Kronos is going to make a lot of people upset

Kronos is already a headache. You have to sign into the VPN, then sign into talent connection, then go to Kronos to clock in. If the VPN takes a while to connect? Sorry that’ll be 5 minutes of PTO. Lunch goes over a couple minutes over 30? That’ll be 2 minutes PTO.

We’re already paid the industry lowest amounts for a top 5 insurance company, and now they’re penny pinching on every little thing. I feel like I’m being watched every second.

Boy, if you thought Kronos was bad.... you should get a load of the Workflow Tool the centralized processors got saddled with.

Kronos is micromanaging kiddie play compared to that thing. They somehow missed out on gathering enough data to have metrics in place so they are going to harvest it down to the minute.

Kronos is the most ridiculous thing Allstate is using to track employees at home! If VPN is taking a while to connect and you are 2 minutes late signing on, you are docked. And written up! And if you sign off past your normal time, you will not get o/t but you will get in trouble!

Who's going to do the Kronos edits? If you "clock out" for lunch at noon and forget to "clock back in" at 1PM, that requires a Kronos edit. Does the employee do it themselves, or is it sent to the CSL?

It's amazing - truly amazing - how much time CSL's spend doing petty bullsh!t. Like going through our claims with a checklist and checking boxes - attending useless meetings - and NOT LEADING!! Now this?

What a sh!t show

Kronos is a nightmare. Petty micromanagement software doesn’t go over well with humans which are known to be imperfect beings.

I work in the call center so, no, we aren't reprimanded if we get a phone call at the end of our shift and work past the end of our scheduled shifts, however, we only get paid for the time we spend on the phone after the end of our shift if it is at least 8 minutes.

Lol, just lol, at thinking they’re going to pay you OT....you will be swiftly reprimanded if you go over your scheduled hours, up to and including termination. But the 10 minutes it takes to get logged in are “only a few minutes” and don’t count, boyo. I’m guessing you’re new to Allstate

I'm assuming the opposite will also be true and when I work 7 minutes past the end of my shift because I get stuck on a call that I will be paid OT for those 7 minutes instead of the current policy of only paying if it's 8 minutes or more.
