Has anyone that was laid off negotiated your severance pay? How much more did you get?

The only two people I know who went to HR were gone within 6 months in an FMP round....I warned one but they went anyway and then shown the door less than 6 mos later.
is this question for real?
Do you wipe your a– with toilet paper or am I missing something? If you can negotiate your severance then I should be able to negotiate a pay raise without the CWA being involved,o but wait ,haven’t heard anything about those guys in a while, wake up gentleman!!!
So if you want to go in 2020... call HR and tell them all your issues you have with your boss.
Never, ever, ever deal with AT&T's EEOC, ethics line, or HR.
Always go to the state or feds.
The company cares nothing of you. Your concerns are the buzzing of flies to them.
The feds get their attention.
@pop+17M0bVS4, good point, "HR" is not FOR the employees! Be careful if they appear to be on your side. The are paid by the organization and will always support management.
Severance plans for management are on HR One Stop, and in the contracts for bargained for. There is no negotiating.
Of course if you want the severance paycheck, you have to sign an agreement not to sue. Severance payout is policy in black and white, not a negotiated item.
You'll be lucky to get a severance package. Were you able to negotiate your last day on payroll too?
Seriously? Are you new to the corporate working world? Geez!
T has many lawyers and much more money. I have read this recommendation on LinkedIn. It was posted by someone who likely never tried it. I would suppose L3 and above might have a shot... officers most certainly, but us peons - not at chance.
There is NO negotiated severance in T. But if you part of a lay off and believe it was based on discrimination then you can file a legit discrimination lawsuit against T. But expect T to play very dirty with you by making up false claim of you being a low contributor. Your manager with help from HR will back it by creating fake documents about phone calls and meeting with you that never happen. This is the T way. People think HR is there to help employees but T pays HR and HR is there for the company not you! My sister was in HR for another company and she laughed when employees went to her for help and she pretended to care about the person by putting on a good fake front but behind closed doors in private meetings you are targeted to be fired.
