Thread regarding Collins Aerospace layoffs

Email from executives today... more doom and gloom

Steve T*** sent out an email today which states that the company isn't recovering as quickly as anticipated and the company expects to have more furloughs next year, in addition to other actions. There is mention of a VSP "for executives", which will be a laugher, I'm sure. Can you see those guys in the back room now planning each other's executive buyouts? Meanwhile you needed 26 years service just to get a 6-month severance check under the VSP earlier this year.

And while he claims that the merit increases will return in Q2 2021, he conveniently left out any mention of the return of the 10% pay cut that most people took.

Laid off P&W employee here.

You get a week's pay for every year you work and a lump sum between $3K and $6K, depending on how many years you worked there.

You also get the ESP for up to 1 year.

From what I hear, these furloughs are just a steeping stone to the next step to getting ready to do the big layoff again , projecting from what I hear mid May. Anyones thoughts on this ?or has anyone heard different? I'm really speaking for the Rockford IL Collins?

Do all full time employees get severance pay when they’re laid off? Or just the people who have been there long enough.
