First, thanks so much for spelling "morale" correctly; if I have to read one more post referring to the poor "moral" I might lose it.
Second, yes, morale is and has been in the toilet for what seems like forever now. But to have poor morale is to still care. Many/ most stopped caring some time ago.
Union people are annoying and basically tells you everything you want to know what is wrong with the company.
I'm under 50 and making the highest union hourly rate I've EVER heard of in fifteen years in telecom. But yeah, thanks for the warning, I'll get right on that and quit on Monday and start sending out resumes to the BETTER telecoms. Jesus, oldheads are annoying. If it's not 1980 and we aren't a massive monopoly or getting drunk everyday at lunch, it's just not worth coming into work anymore is it?
Why would I leave when T pays me a very good full time weekly rate for part time work! There’s hardly any work to keep busy enough to even call it full time, yet if T is willing to pay people to sit around doing nothing, then I’m all in!
you don't die after 50 - you can leave after 50 and get with a great company that does bleeding edge stuff with the cloud. like I did. att is a dead end and they don't care just pretend to be a tech company.
It’s sad that people expect anything to improve. The old AT&T is long gone. This place has joined the ranks of the uncaring, globalized ungodly mega-corporations. Only way we go is further downhill. If you’re over 50, stick it out. If you’re under 50, head for the door as soon as you are able.
