Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Why are technical innovations lacking?

A lot of young talents are leaving Cisco for Google Cloud, Amazon, VMWare, Nvidia, Microsoft and more. Cisco is a very toxic company. The so-called the best place to work. It is a big lie. It is only applicable to those have connections with the top, those mediocre leadership and no technical innovation, other than stealing things from other. That is why CIsco was sued and ask for $ 1.9B damages. That is why our revenue in legacy products are shrinking. Losing revenue to our competitors like Zoom, Arista, even worse lose the Pentagon deal to HP.

Zoom sales increased in the first three months of this year - more than all their combined sales in previous year. I would be pretty sure that Cisco Webex also increased, but did it increase as much as Zoom?

FB uses BlueJeans; Other companies use Zoom, etc.

Some companies even use WebEx, but how many new companies signed up for WebEx, and how many just kept using Zoom, etc?

Aha.

Forget innovation. Some BUs are 100% toxic at all levels and across all teams. Webex and Teams is a big example of that. Mediocrity, inertia, inactivity is everywhere. They blurt big words like competing with zoom. They look like fools doing that anyway and also like vultures trying to capitalize on the Zoom name.

Continuing.....................

Actually, I said as long as they continue to sell to Govt. And then I thought about my comment some more and would like to add something - after careful consideration.

hmm.
Well, firstly it just didn't register that you mentioned loss of Pentagon deal to HP. I guess I was unaware of that until just now.

Anyway, I guess that's not good. Not good at all.

Oh well, we will see. I was just being positive, but I don't know what happened to Cisco.

I guess, I got nothing more.

Carry on.

Innovation drive seems to come from mainly from buying MPLS (MPLS is the Gang of 4 enterprising people that created startups which Cisco has bought 5 times) and as long as they also continue to sell core routers to FAANG, govt, and others, they will have the monetary $$$ to keep buying.

Just do NOT let them buy more consumer (CES) type of companies, well.... because of Flip, CUCIUS, and the Android Tablet, etc. Those innovations actually flopped badly.

Good luck!!

Cisco is the 2020 embodiment of Wang or DEC. lets not forget that Cisco lineage has ties to both of these industry-losers starting with none other than JC himself
