To the degree that AT&T remains successful and profitable, it is due to the efforts of rank and file employees, both management and non-management. I can’t stand listening to these smug A-Holes in headquarters giving us their rah-rah speeches, as if anyone even cares what the have to say, anymore.

All true comments, overeducated underworked overvalued cologne maniquins, woke now worried about the minorities, how quaint
I am very sorry, but Ratty and Stinky and the Board of MisDirectors have derailed this big company. Don't think it is not impossible just because T is part of the big three.
Look at Jeff Emmelt did to GE.
I get it , T is a monopoly . However it feels like the top guys want to sell off the biggest long term cash cow of this company, and that is the fiber and the copper. TW is a pipe dream , all programming is a pipe dream if you dont have the money to dump into new content . Randall threw away all our new content money with the T mobile disaster . The rest of the reserves went away with the Direct TV disaster . But at least we have a new culture created by the woke crowd to occupy ourselves with .
For a fair and objective review of AT&T's C-Suite and Board of Directors please take the time to read the Elliott Letter and their plan to activate AT&T. It truly is an indictment of Randall Stephenson's performance for 13 years as AT&T's CEO and Chairman and AT&Ts Board who rubber stamped his strategic initiatives - Failed T-Mobile purchase, DTV, and Time Warner. Any hope to improve AT&T's future seem to be fading fast with the elevation of John Stankey to CEO who as at Stephenson's side for 13 years executing his strategic initiatives and now with Mr. Kennard (a long time Board Member who never once challenged Stephenson) as the company's new Chairman. You are your stock price - $27.44.
T is "successful" because its a virtual monopoly, sure there's VZ and TMO , but that's just 3 industry juggernauts for a 300million country the size of the US, you would have to really fck things up at an epic scale to not make money in telecommunications as one of the big 3.. Not to mention all the other government and b2b contracts, where T makes handsome profits from recurring revenue streams.
This is why T or and other big incumbents won't be threatened any time soon, they own all the prime RF real estate, coupled with entrenched business models in industry and government, money just keeps coming in, lots of the front line work and back office is contracted out.. I bet any reasonable level headed teenager could sit in the CEO's seat and do just as well.. Companies this big are mostly on auto-pilot as long as the folks maintaining the network are doing their jobs, very little will derail a legacy monopoly this big.
