The next round of layoffs planned for Nov 18. Exec's got to get their bonuses at EOY and it's the last chance to LAYOFF and not match 401ks. Company needs to drop exec dead wood at the top like their CIO for NCR to evolve.

The NCR CTO is an amateur at best, or a complete fraud. He has hired his buddies, and the whole gang knows nothing but is arrogant enough to bully people around. Lots of loyal and experienced employees had left them recently. It would be best for NCR to layoff this whole gang along with its leader.
Just laid off yesterday and truthfully it's a load off my shoulders. I now have the freedom to find a better job at a better company that's not always crying the blues that they didn't make their numbers while the execs collect their bonuses anyway. I put a lot of my own personal time into my job with NCR but it wasn't appreciated enough to even give me fair notice this was coming.
Thank You and F— You
This company is trash...
Funny when I was laid off few years ago they called me back 3 weeks after my last day and asked if I was willing to go to Serbia and assist in training as they were having issues helping the field tech after level 2 was riffed. My first question was this a one time thing or is there a path after the job was done.
Crickets started chirping. So I said no. It’s your problem I would’ve said no anyway knowing fellow employees in same situation who went to india for same reason for Walmart support issues returned once finished and were let go. Can’t trust them.
In my opinion. CEOs ultimate aim is to bring ncr to its knees and make it real attractive and cheap for his buddies at FIS to buy out.
BVC and his henchman need to go too. A lot of secrets in this org kept quiet for years will be unearthed soon to analysts and investors.
It not you and don’t put yourself in that mind set. It the this type of business. Had I known how much this type of business would change I would have gone into a trade like electrician or refrigeration or welding after high school. something they couldn’t outsource.
Here are your job replacements

NCR Serbia team was soon recognized as efficient, professional and innovative, and the number of employees has been increasing every year. Encouraged by the excellent customer dedication and business results of its Serbia employees, the company decided to strengthen its presence in Serbia with the construction of a new state-of-the-art office: the Belgrade campus. This 30,000 squaremeter building is NCR’s biggest campus in Europe, and it reflects the NCR culture as well as its role as a global technology leader. The technologies and standards applied in its construction are the first of their kind in Serbia. The building holds the LEED Gold certificate, confirming that is efficient, cost-effective and good for both occupants and the environment. The construction of this world-class work environment will be completed in the first half of 2021, when it will serve as a platform for further growth and transformation of NCR’s Serbia team.
Why am I not surprised? NCR, sooner or later this is going to catch up with you in the tech community. That flashy building isn’t going to fool people anymore.
Just got laid off today morning. I didn't get a courtesy notice of a week or two. I am a new grad student who joined NCR in 2019. It's a sh–ty feeling to learn that the company you work for doesn't have your back when you chose to collaborate with teams across the globe in the middle of the night for many nights to get the job done. Also, I didn't get a reason for "why me? ".
This one is real deep. Like up to half of some teams deep. Dallas, Atlanta, Aliso Viejo all involved and thats just on the hospitality side.
Atlanta layoff started today
"Just watch, new grad CS students will outperform the old slow engineers [in retail SW org]." - Quote from NCR CTO I heard myself in person.
Retail SW eng leader is openly hostile and abusive to almost all, while everyone sees clearly his incompetence. A ridiculous cartoonish person. Open disregard for older/experienced workers. Only visible when escalations pop up so he can "encourage" employees with his condescension and contempt.
Hypocritical company. Funny how much hiring NCR is doing while actively reducing its workforce.
