Is there any way to figure out how many employees have been laid off since the pandemic started? I know there haven't been as many as with some other major employers in the country, but I think it would still turn out to be a sizable number when we put all the not so big but still impactful cuts together.

If 1hhc is correct, that represents an approximate 13 - 17% reduction in headcount in 2020.
But add that to the layoffs going back to 2015 (when T took over DTV), and the number of 'involuntary separated' employees becomes scary large.
And then consider Randy's lie about increasing staff and creating jobs after the 2018 GOP corporate tax giveaway.
I know T isn't the only corrupt, soulless, despicable company in the world, but I can't imagine others being as openly dishonest, disdainful of their employees, or utterly incompetent.

Not including the TW announcement today. The HR tally for "involuntary separation" of AT&T, Inc. staff (part time, full time, management, non-management) stands at 31,833 to date. Don't ask me how I know; but take this number to the bank. Going into the 2020 year the RIF was estimated to be 42,000 to reach the EBITDA goals for SG&A reduction in year.
I'm sure your manager has those numbers, but be prepared to hear "this is not as a result of COVID"
