Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Six day work week

Any thoughts from any supervisors out there being required to work 3, six day work weeks, with multiple 10 and 12 hour days required. Doesn’t seem like the best idea in the midst of a pandemic!

It’s only 3 days and you get them back in March with you extra comp week.

We aren't supervisors. We are managers. Been working 3 6 day weeks every holiday for 10+ years now. Nothing new. It's required and we do it.

Our store manager has us working 60-70 hours a week all year round... Even prior to the pandemic. Hell Month is no different than any other. Too much shiiit added to our plates every week, too many mandated additional hours needed to accomplish. Oh how I love how our recruiters preach work life balance to potential candidates.

Well, you don't have to be so snobby about it! Macy's isn't doing so well either so I wouldn't be bragging.

6 days a week, 12 hour days.......for only 3 weeks.......retired red badge here.......did that for 20 years. This is a normal expectation for 4th quarter. Hell month has arrived.
