Thread regarding National Instruments Corp. layoffs

Did you lose trust in this leadership?

After the latest layoffs? I have. They say one thing then blindside us with something completely different. This has happened before, but never to this extent. If it was any other time I'd already be looking for a new job. This pandemic is the only thing that's keeping me here right now.

Yes. And the worst part is they continue to take bad decisions and justify them by coining some fancy terms like bold etc. And apparently 'learn' from it. Which is a bit costly. K–l a business and learn 'ha we should not do that again' !
There is very little accountability and sense of ownership at the top level. And with frequent reshuffle of engineers in the name of 'what is good for business' they are also k–ling whatever accountability the engineers had for their work.

Most of us lost trust in leadership long ago...and that's why we left. In my particular focus area, I watched over a 100 years combined industry experience just walk out the door, only to be replaced by people who can't find their butt with a hand full of fish hooks. I myself lost trust with leadership the first time I heard Jason lie...errr....speak. Continue to Fail Ambitiously NI! You'll always have LV NXG....

Majority of the employees have simply lost trust with the current leadership and the engagement survey indicated that we have no confidence in the strategy until accountability are enforced. Incompetent executives like Jason should be part of this layoff exercise. 5 years is eternality in the business world and from all indications it has proven the strategy and tactics are pointing at the wrong problems and direction. The truth is revenue continued to be flat and declining, customers are confused with what we are doing and not getting the system solution they needed but new account manager being introduced annually.

I lost trust in the leadership team half way through Davern's tenure. Good thing I left NI last year, no regrets at all. The problem with NI leadership is if you do not simply say yes and agree with everything, you are sidelined or forced out. Examples of VPs that were sidelined: Jin Bains, Stefano, Ajit, Zogas, Victor Mieres, etc... this is just a few since too many executives to list. They are often replaced with people who are not qualified but simply drink the kool aid. Groupthink already has destroyed any creativity and innovation at NI. Sad but true...
